Jupiter 2020

I tried using my ZWO ASI178M camera on Jupiter, but the atmospheric dispersion just smudged it out. So, that plan didn’t work out. The next plan was to use my ASI2600MC. I used an Orion 2″ 2x barlow, and this gave me a pixel scale of about 0.32 arcseconds per pixel, and Jupiter was about 48 arcseconds in size. Not the best scale, but it was something. Ganymede and Io also join the party.

I upscaled the image by 100% and just did some wavelets and local histogram contrast. Definitely better than my attempt last year, but I really need more scale. A color ASI178 and a Televue 4x Powermate might be on my Christmas list.
